EverStrong is the name for OutReach's part of the HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) programs.   

Originally a YDHP - The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) is an initiative designed to reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness. The goal of the YHDP is to support selected communities, including rural, suburban, and urban areas across the United States, in the development and implementation of a coordinated community approach to preventing and ending youth homelessness. EverStrong has evolved and has become a HUD CoC Program. ​ 

Madison/Dane County has been given funds to end youth homelessness within our community. This project will bring the community together and combine efforts to ensure system-wide changes and a foundation to drive the mission of ending youth homelessness into action. 

The YHDP Coordinated Community Plan (CCP) has been developed with Dane County's  Youth Action Board (YAB) at the helm, service providers, as well, as a variety of county sectors and community members to help create this program that is housed at OutReach offices.

HUD CoC Programs are is designed to promote community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness by providing funding for efforts by nonprofit providers and State and local governments and promoting access to and effect utilization of mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families.

EverStrong serves the entire Dane County community - providing resources for all 17-24 year olds with or without children who are at-risk of experiencing homelessness. EverStrong is a program of OutReach who's mission and purpose differ in that it serves the entire 17-24 year old Dane County population regardless of race, gender, sexuality, etc.

 

EverStrong services are open to all 17-24 year olds in Dane County.
